Directional Thrust Boring machine UPK-40B is a hydraulic driven replacement tool, this machine can provide steerable thrust boring up to 150 meters.
The UPK-40B is a most universal machine because can to work from from ground surface, from round cement sewer well and from pit, UPK-40B can be fitted in a diameter of one meter sewer well.
Machine works great for electric lines or all pipes you need to install under walkways, drive roads, circular driveways, front porches and flower beds, better to use the UPK-40B in normal soil conditions.

How to work from the surface of the earth:
The machine is placed on the surface of the earth, the drill rods enter the ground at an angle, then the laying path changes to a horizontal plane, the drilling path can be changed, for example, so that the tip goes into the well or into the basement of the room or even to the surface of the earth.
How to work from the round cement sewer well, from pit or basement:
The machine is located in a pit or in the basement of the room, drill rods enter the soil in a horizontal plane, then the drilling path can be changed, for example, so that the tip goes into the sewer well or into the basement of the room or even to the surface of the earth.
The path control is the same as in HDD rigs, but here a special hydraulic reducer is provided for turning the drilling rods, the rods is rotated by moving the valve control lever, which is much more convenient than manually turning with a pipe wrench.
The control of steerable thrust boring can be provided by underground location systems such as Mark, DigiTrack, Subsite, ERA or SNS (Russian made) and others.
The UPK-40B is perfect choice for connecting houses to gas pipelines, water, sewers, for laying electric cables, for laying communications under roads and objects.
